Dr. Jetha is a Sports Medicine Physician that specializes in musculoskeletal pain. His clinical practice involves seeing patients with both acute pain and chronic degenerative conditions with a special interest in ultrasound guided interventions. Being born and raised in Calgary he is happy to offer his services to patients in his home city.
Dr. Jetha completed an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology specializing in exercise and sport science with a minor in chemistry at the University of Saskatchewan. Before going on to medical school he worked as a personal trainer with a large focus on the strength and conditioning of varsity and junior hockey athletes. He was exposed to the field of sports medicine when one of his athletes was injured and this sparked his interest to pursue this career. He then went on to complete his medical degree and residency at the University of Saskatchewan and a subsequent fellowship in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the University of Calgary. His experience includes working with higher level athletes including the University of Calgary Dinos, Olympic level speed skaters, and national rodeo athletes. He has also provided medical coverage for numerous events including the Centennial Cup (junior hockey), Football Alberta (junior football), World Junior Figure Skating, Ironman 70.3, and the Calgary Marathon. Dr. Jetha is also currently part of the medical team for the Lethbridge Hurricanes WHL hockey team and the SAIT Trojans.
