Dr. Rehana Murani was born and raised in Sherwood Park, Alberta. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida while competing in NCAA division one soccer. She returned to Canada in 2012 to complete her MD at the University of Alberta. This was followed by a five-year specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Calgary. While completing her training, she was able to continue to compete in soccer at the semi-professional level. She has obtained her certifications in Sports Medicine (Dip. Sport Med), and musculoskeletal ultrasound (RMSK).
Her clinical interests include acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, interventional and diagnostic Ultrasound, and neuromuscular electrodiagnostics.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, playing soccer and spending time with her young family.
