This study evaluates two important attributes of the PDDQ-S questionnaire that we developed and routinely use to monitor the effect of treatments for pain in the spine: the validity of the questionnaire scores and the ability of the questionnaire to detect change in the status of the patient following treatment.
Statistical analysis of the PDDQ-S questionnaire found the questionnaire to have good validity (it measures what it intended to measure) and excellent responsiveness (ability to detect change).
These findings provide support for the continued use of the PDQQ-S questionnaire to monitor the effectiveness of the treatments being provided for minimally invasive spine interventions.
