Dr. Ma hails from Calgary, Alberta, where he spent his formative years. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Calgary before heading north to the University of Alberta for medical school, graduating in 2022. However, he returned to his roots at the University of Calgary to complete his residency in family medicine, finishing in 2024.

Throughout his life, Dr. Ma has harbored a deep passion for sports and exercise, particularly basketball and volleyball. Before pursuing medicine, he was actively involved as a coach for basketball and strength/conditioning. His keen interest in sports and exercise prompted him to pursue a Sport Medicine Diploma, ultimately leading him to join the Vivo Cura Health team. His goal is to aid patients in recovering from injuries and regain the quality of life they desire.
